A message from Rev. Joan

The chaos in DC is making me want to work harder for democracy. This is no longer an election between two old white men. This is a vote for democracy vs. autocracy.

This is a vote for freedom vs. loss of rights. For the first time in the history of our country, freedoms are being taken away from women and girls.

This is a race that will determine the future of our Supreme Court and whether the Court will continue to support autocracy and the elimination of our rights or whether the Court will pass judgements that continue to build a better, more inclusive democracy.

This is a race between a government favoring one religion vs a government for all religions.

This is our reality. No knight in shining armor is going to swoop down and save us. We MUST USE OUR VOTE TO vote for our values and the values of our democratic country.

In PA, we must work to maintain the House of Representatives and possibly have a larger majority and win the Senate (doubtful, maybe next cycle). But, we will only proceed towards a better democracy for our country and for our state if everyone gets to the polls.
